Debbie Klug is the
teacher for our four year old class. She has been teaching at Friends
of Jesus Preschool for six years. A 1976 graduate of Washtenaw Community
College in Ann Arbor with a LPN Certificate, she worked for nine years
as a Pediatric LPN. In 1987 she completed a Bachelor of Science Degree
at Western Michigan University. She and her family live in Kalamazoo.
Her husband Don, works for Parker Hannifen. They have two children,
Fritz (16) and Kelsey (14). She has a walking buddy named Lucy, a six
year old English Springer Spaniel! She has been a member at Zion for
13 years.
Pam Sward is the
teacher for our three year old class. She grew up in Sturgis, Michigan
and then attended Michigan State University, where she graduated with
a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. During her college years,
she was an assistant teacher at a Montessori preschool, where she
learned a lot about young children and how they learn. Her student
teaching was in a kindergarten class in Corunna, Michigan. After college
she was a substitute teacher at various grade levels, taught summer
school programs and after school programs such as Reader's Theater.
She resides in Mattawan with her husband, Nick. They have three daughters,
Paige (11), Anna (9) and Sarah (7). She has been a member at Zion for
8 years.
